Do you enjoy waking up in the morning, getting out of your cozy bed, commuting to work and spending the next 8-12 hours a day at a job that is just simply the best? Yeah, me either. That is was we call “reality’ and what ultimately one would think people try and get away from. Yet, people somehow flock to the reality television shows; well, to each his own. Not me. I long for comedy. Light, relaxing, and entertaining television that brightens your mood. Sitcoms. The type of show you don-t have to think about. The type of shot you don-t have to analyze the plot. Longing for the days of classic comedy and episodes of Seinfeld, Friends, Mad About You, etc, I find myself turning to anything comical that resembles that type of humor. Shows like “The Office’ still hold up, and then there is my absolute new favorite, “How I Met Your Mother.’ It-s simply hysterical. In many ways it reminds me of the humor in the “must see tv’ sitcoms of the past. The chemistry between characters invites you into their lives and welcomes you into their storylines. There is not an episode that goes by that I don-t find myself memorizing some fantastic side-splitting quote. This show makes you more than just laugh; you will literally be giggling like a school child. It takes you away, if only for those thirty minutes, from reality and gives you that break everyone so eagerly needs, everyone deserves.
