"From Dream to Screen "

We are honored to bring you the second annual Director's Chair Film Festival. This unique event is made possible through the facilities of Staten Island Community Television. This festival is the first of its kind on Staten Island, airing LIVE on channel 57 for twenty-six hours. Thank you CTV for all your support!
This year's theme is "From Dream to Screen", how screenwriters shape the movies we love.

Throughout the festival we will be exploring script writing and the industry. On Saturday October 6th, established professional writers will share their stories and discuss a variety of topics, including understanding the relationship between the written word and human experience; the role of writing in the making of motion pictures; setting up a successful writing routine and sticking to it; how to pitch your script; what to expect in today's industry; and more. We are excited to have some of the best in the business.

The collection of films this year have rich meaning and cover a wide variety of genres -- comedy, thrillers, horror, even documentaries. Each is compelling and creates an emotional experience with truly original perspectives on life.
